Laura Judge is a mom, a Navy veteran, and a passionate educational justice advocate. She is also a previous volunteer lead with Moms Demand Action and an active PTA member. She speaks during public comment at school board meetings regularly, holds educational events for students at a county level, and shares the importance of keeping kids safe around firearms.
Laura was raised in a house of educators. Her mother was always a volunteer in the school district and her father made sure she and her siblings had the best education. When her family moved to GA, her mother became an educator in the daycare system, while her older and younger sisters became educators in the metro districts. While she admires their work in the classroom, and even spent some time as a substitute teacher in different metro areas, Laura took a different path and became a scientist. Laura started her college education at the United States Naval Academy and finished her bachelor's in Bioscience Research at Farmingdale State University. She then went on to receive an AS in Medical Technology from Georgia Piedmont Technical College. After working as a medical technologist at Northside Hospital and then as a verification engineer with a biotech company, she pursued getting her Six Sigma Green Belt certification and her MS in Biomedical Diagnostics from Arizona State University.
Laura is currently the President and Chief Operations Officer of Content Monsta, a marketing business she started with her husband. She recently served as the Education Chair of the Cobb County Commission District 2 Community Cabinet hosting events that focused on literacy and equipping high school students with skills on CPR and First Aid. Currently, she focuses on her children thriving in the public school environment while supporting their extra-curricular activities.
As a parent and advocate, Laura strives to improve the community for everyone and believes that we all want the same things for our children in schools: safety, quality education, and transparency in the school board's decisions related to policies and finances. It's due to those reasons, Laura looks forward to being your District 5 board member.
