You need a representative that will listen to and support your ideas. I will not only fight for the needs of our community but also earn your respect. I am someone who truly cares for our children and their successes.
I have been a GA resident for 20 years and part of the Cobb County community for the past 10 years. In those 10 years, I have worked to make Cobb a better place. My children have been students within Cobb Schools and while enrolled, I have been a member of the PTA, volunteered at the school, and facilitated community-based parent conversations. I am also a small business owner with my husband. I dedicate time to reaching out to educators, attending School Board meetings, volunteering for school-aged extracurricular activities, and advocating for the community as a whole.
I want to break down the barriers in front of our marginalized communities. I am dedicated to prioritizing literacy, letting those subjected to religious or gender bias persecution be heard, enabling the students of our diverse communities to express themselves in front of the board, and finding ways to support children with special needs and/or those with 504 and IEP plans best.
The increased engagement at board meetings since 2020 shows that our community has many questions surrounding the school board. My goal is to have Post 5 meetings and communication so that all voices are heard - parents, students, teachers, and administrators. I would also like to bring back board member comments at meetings to keep our community engaged, reinstate Parent Advisory Councils, and have healthy debates between board members. I would like the community to bring the board their financial, learning, and discipline concerns.
